General Terms and Conditions of Sale - Learning on Demand

Learning on Demand is an online service providing convenient access to recorded technical presentations given by an expert on a specific topic. Presentations are offered in two parts:

- Part I: Expert presentation divided into chapters for easy navigation

- Part II: Q&A addressing frequently asked questions

The videos can be bought individually (one shot purchase) or through a one year subscription (unlimited access).

The one shot purchase includes single access to the chosen video for 30 days. Access is restricted to one computer. You may view the presentation up to 3 times within the 30-day period.

The unlimited access offer includes single access to the entire library of videos of Learning on Demand including new videos added during the one year subscription period. Access is restricted by a login and password. And it is limited to 3 different computers.

Your registration order is completed at the moment of validation of your payment.

By ticking a button "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions" featured in the Order Confirmation Page and by validating your payment, you unreservedly and irrevocably agree with the terms and conditions presented here.

After completing your registration order, SpecialChem will send you an e-mail confirming and summarizing your order details and reference(s).

All participation fees are stated in EUROS.
Specialchem shall not be accountable for any additional costs linked to accessing the videos, included but not limited to the phone and Internet connection fees.

On-line payment by credit card is required at the moment of submitting of your order.

Credit cards accepted include:
EUROCARD, MASTERCARD, VISA and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Payment Security
All credit card payment information is protected by using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.

Payment by bank transfer is also accepted. A purchase order including SpecialChem bank details is sent by e-mail upon request at the moment of submitting your order (an additional €20 is charged because of treatment fees). The confirmation of purchase is sent once the payment has been received on SpecialChem's bank account.

To view videos in optimum conditions, you need Internet access (min connection speed 256 Kbps) and Adobe Flash Player, Version 7 (or later) installed on your computer. SpecialChem strongly recommends to check and test whether Adobe Flash Player is already installed on your computer.

SpecialChem shall not be hold responsible if you fail to view videos due to the lack of your computer or other equipment settings, capacity or performance.

If you have made a "ONE SHOT PURCHASE" you can be refunded as long as you have not accessed the video. You can cancel your order by writing to learning-on-demand@specialchem.com.

If you have chosen the "UNLIMITED ACCESS", no refund is made in case of cancellation.

All materials contained in the videos as well as the transcript of the slide presentations are protected by copyright law of France and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published or broadcast without the prior written permission of SpecialChem S. A. You may not alter or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice from copies of the content.

SpecialChem does not collect any personal information about you (including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, email address) unless you provide it to us voluntarily. Information you willingly provide will not be shared with any third parties.

We attempt to keep your files complete, up-to-date, and accurate. You can access your personal information and notify us about errors.

SpecialChem makes no representations or guarantees as to the completeness or accuracy of the information provided in the video. Content is provided upon the condition that you will make your own determination as to its suitability for the purposes prior to use.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes will be settled by Courts in Paris.

In the event that any provision of this conflicts with the law under which the Terms, conditions, and notices are to be construed or if any such provisions are held invalid by a court with jurisdiction over the parties to the Terms, conditions, and notices, such provision will be deemed to be restated to reflect as nearly as possible the original intentions of the parties in accordance with applicable law, and the remainder of this Terms, conditions, and notices will remain in full force and effect.
