ExxonMobil unveils higher density mLLDPE grades

HOUSTON, Dec, 16 -- ExxonMobil Chemical has announced the commercialization of two new higher density grades of Exceed metallocene-based linear-low-density polyethylene (mLLDPE). These new grades have densities of 0.927 and melt indices from 1.3 to 3.5. Grade names are Exceed 1327CA and Exceed 3527CB. Potential applications include heavy-duty shipping sacks, stretch film, hygiene film, liners, and merchandise bags. These new grades offer an outstanding balance toughness for high-performance films and stiffness for potential downgauging. ExxonMobil said its recently announced mVLDPE grades for flexible packaging applications along with these new higher density grades demonstrate its long-term, commitment to metallocene technology. ...
