Husky opens technical center in Mexico

BOLTON, ON, Dec. 12 -- Husky Injection Molding Systems has opened a new technical center in Mexico City to accommodate future growth. The new facility, which opened in September, is situated near several key customers. The technical center encompasses 18,000 ft2 of production floor space and overhead crane capacity of 10 tons. "Mexico is a key market for us and this new center gives us the room we need to grow," says Mike Urquhart, Husky's vice-president for Latin and South America. "We're now ready to accommodate increased demand when it happens." The facility, which employs 30, offers a range of services including mold tests, audits, test production runs, and training.
