Polykar's Compostable Plastic Bags Utilized Efficiently at Montreal's Zero Waste Day Camps

This summer, the City of Montreal began using Polykar's compostable bags at their Zero Waste Day Camps. Participants not only recycle and compost, they also learn about waste management, thereby creating increased awareness among the children and their parents.

One particular day camp, the St-Donat camp, welcomes 120 children between the ages of 5 and 13. The youths are put into groups of 15 led by camp counsellors ranging between 16 and 22 years of age. The counsellors are trained in responsible waste management initiatives by the Eco-quartiers of Montreal whose goals are to inform, increase awareness and mobilize residents, companies and institutions at the community level...
