Patent - Polyamide resins have excellent toughness, strength, and chemical resistance, which make them useful as engineering resins for a wide variety of applications. For many applications it would be desirable to use a transparent polyamide, but many polyamides are semi-crystalline materials, and, as such, are often opaque as incident light is scattered by the crystalline domains present in the polymers....

Good development especially in the field of optical application as well as for Polycarbonate replacement whereever, transparency and robust chemical resistance is required. Cost factor of such polyamide will be decidiing factor .
