How to gain high permeability in food packaging?

Gain high permeability in food packaging How to gain high permeability in food packaging?

High permeability is needed for maximum freshness in food packaging applications such as lunchboxes, food films and salad trays.

"Breathability" can be tailored by blending Styrolux® (BASF's styrene-butadiene block copolymer - SBC) with GPPS allowing the exchange of gases and moisture with the immediate environment.

Styrolux® clearly exhibits higher oxygen permeability than PET, and similar water vapor permeability to PVC. Try Styrolux® in your packaging applications to achieve maximum freshness.
