To produce a transparent and tough vacuum cleaner dust cup with anti-static properties for reduced dust retention in the cup.

NOVA Chemicals' designed ZYLAR^®535, an acrylic copolymer with an anti-static additive. This additive reduces the amount of dust retained in a vacuum's transparent dust collection cup without the additional cost and complexity of a spray-on anti-static agent. ZYLAR^®535 also offered the molder more than a 20% reduction in cycle time compared to transparent ABS for this thick-walled part. All ZYLAR^®grades are available in pre-color. ZYLAR^®535 also offers value in point-of-purchase applications by minimizing dust pick-up which helps to maintain the display's appearance and shelf life.
