High Performance Thermoplastic Elastomer
TPE-E (or COPE) class of TPE consists of block copolymers of alternating hard and soft segments connected by ester and ether linkages. TPE-E are high performance thermoplastic elastomers and exhibit a unique combination of properties such as excellent strength over a wide range of temperatures, excellent dynamic properties e.g. creep and fatigue, high heat resistance, exceptional resistance to chemicals, oils and greases and dimensional stability.
All of these highly interesting properties are available in Arnitel®,
DSM's high-performance TPE-E material. Arnitel® has exceptional flexibility and can perform or outperform functions that normally require conventional rubbers.
Available in a wide range of hardnesses, Arnitel® is uniqely positionedto replace metals, thermoplastics, leather and rubber, often with a reduction in finished part costs.
