Optimizing Reactive Compounding of TPEs and TPVs

This e-Training Course will help you develop optimal TPE & TPV with reactive compounding in order to get the most out of your selected thermoset and thermoplastic phases.

The course will provide practical guidance to achieve optimal phase inversion and crosslinking and will then consider how to meet more complex requirements (oil-resistant, adhesion to metal, greening TPEs...).

5 reasons to attend this online course:
Reason 1 Save time reaching your requirements (hardness, tensile strength, compression...) by wisely adjusting reactive compounding parameters

Reason 2 Gain control over phase inversion and crosslinking by learning about formulation and processing tips: twin screw design, catalysts, etc...

Reason 3 Make production of TPE and TPV more consistently & with higher quality by finding ways to efficiently extend the processing window

Reason 4 Integrate faster new options (halogen-free, low COF, using recycled tire rubber...) in your future developments with practical case studies

Reason 5 Benefit from customized advice on your own projects by interacting with Dr. Ashok Adur, expert in optimizing TPE & TPV performance / cost ratio

COURSE TYPE: Advanced Formulation
Ideally suited for Polymer Producers, Compounders, Engineers, Managers and those in R&D who want to find new solutions to optimize the reactive compounding of TPEs and TPVs and better meet customers' demanding requirements.

Prerequisite: A working knowledge of polymers (plastics and/or rubber) and preferably in TPEs & TPVs or at least a minimum understanding of chemistry and physics at a college / university level is recommended to fully benefit from the course.

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY FROM THIS COURSE:
When developing TPE or TPV, one always try to get the most out of the hard and the soft phases but performance are often limited by insufficient mixing and uncontrolled crosslinking during the reactive compounding step.

By attending this course, participants will identify how they can further optimize in practice TPE / TPV composition and processing for optimal reactive compounding: rubber dispersion, phase inversion & crosslinking.

This will prove very useful for any future projects – material replacement & new market demand for green, oil resistance, high temperature TPVs...

Early Registrants: Submit your specific needs when registering and let Dr. Ashok Adur help you find appropriate solutions.

The following sections will be covered during this session:

    1. Introduction to TPEs and TPV:
    - criteria for selection,
    - types of TPEs & TPVs,
