What is High Heat Polycarbonate?

High Heat Polycarbonate is a transparent amorphous polymer that exhibits superior heat resistance compared to standard polycarbonate while maintaining intrinsic toughness and transparency.

APEC - superior heat resistance

High Heat Polycarbonate is used to replace glass, metal or standard polycarbonate in very demanding applications where toughness and/or transparency are needed at continuous service temperatures higher than 130°C. All of these highly interesting performances are available in Apec®, Bayer MaterialScience's high heat polycarbonate.

If you need toughness, transparency and superior heat resistance, Apec® is the right choice!
